Burn Me Up

Lately I have been reading about the three Hebrew children and their unwavering faith. I mean I sit here and I cannot even comprehend being to to either bow down and worship a false king and renounce my God and if I don't I will burn.

These boys face tremendous circumstances and they still stood firm and did not bow. They were thrown into that furnace and still they were protected by God's divinity, grace, and mercy.

Isn't God amazing! He does things that no one can even comprehend and still He finds the time to take care of each of us individually like we were His one and only child.

That is a Father's love!

I hope that if I ever have to face a situation like the Hebrew children I pray that I say Burn Me Up, because I am nothing without God and I find it glorious that I can say burn me up and I can trust Him to be with me, and if He doesn't deliver me from that moment, I will be able to spend eternity with Him. I mean it's a win win situation!

God is amazing and I find that if I can just believe in Him I will find that strength that I need!

What's the Point?

This is an audio of me speaking in to our Youth Group on the night we issued the 30 day Bible Challenge.......I hope that it will touch someone's heart and even if it doesn't I know that God wanted me to hear everything I said that night.

Spoken For

When Jesus died for us, do you know what He did?

He pointed to me and to you and said these are mine. I'm going to pay for whatever wrongs they do because I love them. I have their backs on this one. He picks up the tab for us every time we sin.

What love He has for us!

He said that I am worth more to Him than His life! Wow! Me, you and everyone else....our names ran through Jesus' mind as He was beaten to within an inch of His life. He saw my name written on the cross that He carried all the way to Golgotha. Even when He was taking His lasts breath He thought of me.

The Bible says "greater love has no man, then he that would lay down his life for his friend." I am glad that Jesus looks at me and calls me friend. He showed the greatest love for me that He could ever show. He gave His life for me....me.....this girl that talks to her ceiling every night hoping that Jesus is listening cause He is the best listener.

Why would I ever doubt that He wasn't listening to me? Anything that is important to me, He takes notice in and guides me.

Thank You, my friend Jesus. You saved me, when I killed You. You loved me, before I knew You. How can I ever repay you, but to live my life for You until it is my time to see You and my Heavenly Father in my eternal home.

Thank You so much!

Joy vs Excuses

Is it easier to be joyful or to make excuses of why we can't be joyful?

John 15:11

"I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete."

Why is it that so many people try to do anything to escape from being joyful? What is wrong with it? Then again, are people joyful and we just don't know it?

Some people have joyful hearts but don't show it on the outside.

NOTIFY YOUR FACE!

It's a very simple phrase, but it can change the way people see you. By showing your joy on the outside, people are going to want to know why you are joyful.

You are joyful because God wants you to be joyful. He wants His joy to be in us.

Show your joy!

Notify your face!

"Just" God

The other day, mom and I were talking about the awesome Sunday night service we had two weeks ago, and she said "yep, it was just God." Now, I know she didn't mean it the way I took it but it was like nails on a chalkboard to here the words "just God." He is NOT just God, He is the God, the Almighty, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the Creator of all things!

He will never be "just" God. He is a just God. There is so much more to Him than one could ever comprehend. He made me and you, and everything we see and the things we cannot see. He is the giver of feelings, and the lover of my soul. He is the God responsible for everything around us. Without Him, nothing would be possible. Everything we love so much would cease to exist. We would cease to exist. There would be nothingness everywhere.

Next time you look at that beautiful sunset, remember that it was God's paintbrush that did that. The next time you hear that child you love so much giggle remember that God gave them the joy of laughter. The next time you look into the person of whom you cannot live without eyes remember that it was God that put that twinkle there.

So yes it was God at that Sunday night service, but He is so much more than just God.

To Everything There is a Season

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under Heaven." -Ecclesiastes 3:1

Does life ever seem to just be unfair? Like you have been to the bottom of the barrel and back again. When things are bad, they never seem to get better before they get worse. At many times you hit rock bottom and have no other options but to go up.

This past weekend I attended May Getaway 2010. Susanne Cox was the guest speaker, and in her Friday night message she made a very true and profound statement. She said, "Satan will take you further than you ever wanted to go, and he will keep you there longer than you ever wanted to stay."

Isn't that so true? Whenever you are going down the wrong pat, you never have a plan to hit rock bottom. The plan was to escape into what YOU wanted for a while and go from there. Satan, however, takes advantage of our weaknesses and takes us further than we wanted and keeps us there for a lot longer than we ever wanted.

In the times when we are on the wrong path, and we know we are....ask for help. Call out to God, He wants us to be happy and blessed. He is willing to leave the 99 to go and find the lost 1. Call on His name, He WILL reach out to you!

He Knows YOUR Name

Life can get pretty tough at times. Nothing seems to go right, and Murphy’s Law gets put into action. It seems like no matter what we do we can’t get our heads above water and nothing we do helps. There is the constant pressure of doing what the world wants rather than what God wants. I know there are times when I just feel like God could care less about my silly problems that I have let bother me and eat at my skin. He is an Almighty God, why should He have to deal with my drama?

Hebrews 4:15 says, “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are - yet was without sin.”

That’s right, God knows exactly what we are going through. No matter what it is. He sees you, He’s near you, He knows your face, He knows your pain, He knows everything you are going through! He knows YOUR name! (Song: Name - Fireflight)

We serve a powerful God that loves the individual as much as the group. He wants to be bothered with the “little” things. The situations that worry us, worry Him. If it matters to us, it matters to Him. He loves us, and we love Him!

Challenge: Do you know someone who is struggling with problems, and it seems that if it can go wrong it goes wrong for them? If you do, do something for them to let them know that you see their struggles, which means that God sees their struggles and that with Him the burden won’t be heavy any longer.
