The other day, mom and I were talking about the awesome Sunday night service we had two weeks ago, and she said "yep, it was just God." Now, I know she didn't mean it the way I took it but it was like nails on a chalkboard to here the words "just God." He is NOT just God, He is the God, the Almighty, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the Creator of all things!
He will never be "just" God. He is a just God. There is so much more to Him than one could ever comprehend. He made me and you, and everything we see and the things we cannot see. He is the giver of feelings, and the lover of my soul. He is the God responsible for everything around us. Without Him, nothing would be possible. Everything we love so much would cease to exist. We would cease to exist. There would be nothingness everywhere.
Next time you look at that beautiful sunset, remember that it was God's paintbrush that did that. The next time you hear that child you love so much giggle remember that God gave them the joy of laughter. The next time you look into the person of whom you cannot live without eyes remember that it was God that put that twinkle there.
So yes it was God at that Sunday night service, but He is so much more than just God.

To Everything There is a Season
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under Heaven." -Ecclesiastes 3:1
Does life ever seem to just be unfair? Like you have been to the bottom of the barrel and back again. When things are bad, they never seem to get better before they get worse. At many times you hit rock bottom and have no other options but to go up.
This past weekend I attended May Getaway 2010. Susanne Cox was the guest speaker, and in her Friday night message she made a very true and profound statement. She said, "Satan will take you further than you ever wanted to go, and he will keep you there longer than you ever wanted to stay."
Isn't that so true? Whenever you are going down the wrong pat, you never have a plan to hit rock bottom. The plan was to escape into what YOU wanted for a while and go from there. Satan, however, takes advantage of our weaknesses and takes us further than we wanted and keeps us there for a lot longer than we ever wanted.
In the times when we are on the wrong path, and we know we are....ask for help. Call out to God, He wants us to be happy and blessed. He is willing to leave the 99 to go and find the lost 1. Call on His name, He WILL reach out to you!
